The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3436 will host Issaquah’s Memorial Day ceremony at Lower Hillside Cemetery.

Beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27, the ceremony will feature a keynote speech by former Issaquah mayor Fred Butler, with additional comments by 8th Congressional District U.S. Rep. Kim Schrier.

Liberty High School Junior Naval ROTC will provide the color guard and honor guard. A 21-gun salute will conclude the service. The ceremony will also feature a flyover by a B-25 plane, a model commonly used in WWII.

The ceremony is expected to last about 45 minutes and is open to the public. In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the Issaquah Senior Center.
